Mendawai Indonesia and the World Sand sculpting Academy (WSSA) in cooperation
with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economic Affairs and Sentul City will
host for the first time Sand Sculptures Festival held in Indonesia. Sand
Sculptures Festival premiere event or Sand Sculpture Festival is an
international scale and is the largest festival in South East Asia choose this
particular theme Wonders of Indonesia and Wonders of the World. Indonesia
invited the Organizing Committee of Experts Sand 22 Artists from 11 countries,
namely USA, UK, Ukraine, Holland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Belgium, Republic of
CHEC, Singapore and Japan. The artists may take 2 weeks in the construction
process as well as 2400 tons of sand imported from Cilegon choice.
"The idea of holding a magnificent sand sculpture festival is a manifestation of our commitment to fully support tourism in Indonesia, and this activity was well received by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economic Affairs and the WSSA as the parent organization" said Gita Aryanti, Director of Winmark Mendawai Indonesia as well as the organizers Sand Sculptures Festival festival will become a tourist event attracting not only domestic but also foreign tourists. Implementation of the 2011 ISSF Fantasia is located in the Natural, Cultural Park at Sentul City welcomed by the Board of Directors of PT Sentul City Tbk since in line with one of the pillars with his concept of the City of Ennovation Sentul City, the Art & Culture City. This activity is very useful for opening new horizons in art very great potential to be developed in Indonesia. The festival has been going on since December 18, 2011 "January 28, 2012, the event is open daily from 11am until 7pm with admission price of Rp. 50.000, - for weekdays and Rp. 75,000 for Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
